Act on Acne now – Prevent Acne Scars

Acne scars are amongst the most frustrating skin hitches and you would need a lot of patience to deal with it. Anytime a new pimple pops out, it not only ruins the temper but the overall appearance of the face. It drastically scales down the self-confidence from zenith to the depths of despair. Pimples hurt when they are forming and they make a sign of embarrassment once they twitch a parade show. But the misery does not stop there as they like to leave behind horror memories with their good-bye gift – an acne scar. Scarring results when the skin’s tissue has been impaired. You can get a scar on your face due to any mild, moderate or severe acne. However, below are the steps you can take to eradicate chances of evolving those annoying scars.

Avoid Squeezing/Popping

We all know that it is undeniably wrong to do this act, but blows like the first date or a prom night can compel us to take this drastic step. Doing this can elongate the healing time and enhance the chances of leaving a permanent scar. So, control yourself from any tempting deeds of squeezing, picking or popping.

Treat acne early to avoid scarring

The best thing you can do to avoid scarring from acne is to treat your acne immediately. The longer the acne stays on your face, higher are the chances that it will leave a scar behind, or the earlier you begin safe and effective treatment, there will be lesser chances of getting scarring on the face. Do not believe in the myth ‘acne go away by itself’. It is not nowhere pertinent, you should see a dermatologist immediately as soon as the acne develops to discuss your skin and the required treatment. By taking immediate treatment, you will minimize breakouts and prevent inflammation that can cause scarring.

Avoid facial massage

People prone to acne must avoid facial massage as it will just spread the acne severely. Use of heavy oils for massaging can clog the pores which further increases breakouts. The oils used in facial contain high-grade ingredients formulated to create gentle experiences on your face. So, a person may break out due to the fats in oils which do not get absorbed by the skin. There are two types of facials which you might get lured with: one for pampering yourself and another one to treat acne through extractions. The former does not help much to treat acne and is impartially an unnecessary waste of time and money, plus oils used in them may be irritating for acne-prone skin. It has always been recommended by doctors not to go for extractions through facials. Get an appointment with a dermatologist to avail quick and effective treatment to help minimize the chance of developing deep scars.
